For over five years, astronauts from around the world have been living and working together 400 kilometres above the Earth on board the biggest outpost ever built in space. The International Space Station (ISS) is one of the largest research projects ever and involves Europe, the United States, Russia, Japan and Canada. Over the next few years, ISS operations will combine further growth and exploitation.
