A Black Hole - Cygnus X-1

The blue supergiant star, HDE 226868, is locked in an orbit with a black hole - Cygnus X-1. If you have a small telescope it is possible to see this interesting star. The black hole is not visible but its companion star is. This system is located in the constellation Cygnus, The Swan. The video explains where to look. It is possible to capture an image of this star with an SLR digital camera, Nikon, Canon and others produce cameras capable of long time exposures. The video also demonstrates using online telescopes to capture an image of this star.
